West Seti & Seti River-6 (SR-6) Joint Storage Projectपश्चिम सेती तथा सेती नदी-६ जलाशय आयोजना
A combined 1,200 MW storage scheme on the Seti River in far-western Nepal — the 750 MW West Seti (195 m rockfill dam) plus the ~450 MW Seti River-6 re-regulating project. Originally awarded to China Three Gorges (which withdrew in 2018), it was handed to India's state-owned NHPC under a 2022 MoU via Investment Board Nepal. NHPC has submitted preliminary reports and held public hearings, but a project development agreement, PPA and financial closure remain pending.
