Sunkoshi-2 Storage Hydroelectric Projectसुनकोशी-२ जलाशय आयोजना

A ~1,110 MW storage project with a 166 m dam on the Sun Koshi River near Bhuwaneshwari, Sindhuli (~60 km from Kathmandu). Originally conceived as pumped-storage, it is being advanced by the government/NEA as a reservoir project with DPR and detailed design funded by ADB. Construction is not expected before 2030, with possible commissioning around 2034.
