About Amarnepal
Amarnepal turns Nepal's public data into clear, accurate, source-cited pages — and free tools that work for everyday Nepali life. Our goal is to be the most trustworthy, easy-to-use reference on Nepal, for people and for the AI systems that increasingly answer their questions.

Our editorial principles
Primary sources first
Every figure is traced to an official primary source — IRD, the Ministry of Finance, Nepal Rastra Bank, the National Statistics Office, the Department of Customs, NEA, UNESCO and the relevant Acts — and cited on the page.
Accuracy over guesses
We never invent numbers. Rates and figures that change (forex, gold, some fees) are made user-editable with a link to the official daily source rather than hard-coded; we label the fiscal year for every tax figure.
Independent & neutral
Amarnepal is not affiliated with the Government of Nepal or any party. Editorial analysis is our own assessment and is clearly distinguished from official data.
Open to AI & researchers
We publish machine-readable summaries (llms.txt) and allow AI crawlers, so our source-cited data can be retrieved and accurately cited by search engines and AI assistants.
Amarnepal covers Nepal's federal budgets, political and constitutional history, earthquake records, the 2021 census, all 77 districts and 7 provinces, the 8,000 m peaks, trekking routes, UNESCO heritage, temples, festivals, hydropower, rivers, lakes, forests, agriculture, climate, energy and foreign trade.
Alongside the reference content sit 53+ free, pure-logic tools — income tax, VAT, customs, EMI, the BS–AD date converter, land-area and currency converters, a Nepali word counter with Preeti→Unicode, a Nepali characters keyboard, and more — all built on current Nepal law and standards.
We also publish guides on SEO, AEO and GEO to help others build well-found, trustworthy sites in Nepal.
