What is Crore?
करोड
A crore is ten million (10,000,000), written 1,00,00,000. It equals 100 lakh. In Nepal, large budgets, property prices and company figures are quoted in crore — for example, 'two crore rupees' is Rs 20,000,000.
Crore (10⁷) is the next step above lakh. 1 crore = 100 lakh = 10 million.
Above crore come arba (10⁹), kharba (10¹¹), neel, padma and shankha.
