Is Nepal a Hindu country?
Nepal was the world's only Hindu kingdom until 2008, when it became a secular federal republic. Hinduism remains the majority religion at 81.19% of the population, but the constitution now guarantees freedom of religion to all citizens.
'Secular' in Nepal's constitution is defined as protecting age-old religion and culture as well as religious freedom.
