Upper Trishuli-1 Hydroelectric Projectमाथिल्लो त्रिशूली-१ जलविद्युत आयोजना
A 216 MW run-of-river project on the Trishuli River in Rasuwa, the largest Korean-invested hydropower project in Nepal, developed by NWEDC with KOEN, IFC and other lenders. The main tunnel is complete and the weir gate was operated in May 2026, with overall progress around 82%. Trishuli floods in 2024 and 2025 disrupted works; completion is targeted for mid-2027.
